Be sure to test an unexposed area for colour-fastness and possible staining before proceeding.
Suedes or nu-bucks:
Rain marks can often be removed with a clean brush or nu-buck block once the garment has been allowed to dry. Be sure to allow the garment to dry in an open area indoors and away from direct heat.
Food grease is difficult to remove at home. However, you could try applying dry corn starch to the stained area. Let the powder absorb the stain for about twenty minutes. Then brush out all remaining powder.
Name tag stickers: do not attempt to remove. This causes rapid oxidation of the glue, making it harder to remove. Bring the garment in for cleaning as soon as possible. Read the Professional Leather Care Page, especially the "Solvent" leather cleaning section.
If the above remedies are not working, don't despair. It may be possible for us to spot-clean or touch-up the problem areas without full cleaning. Our skilled technicians can match most leather colours.
A damp cloth or sponge can be used to remove localized soil.
